1. Cook the rice Place the rice in a pot with enough water to cover. Bring to a boil. Cook 18-22 minutes until tender. Drain.
2. Setup Caution spicy pepper! If you have sensitive skin, use gloves to handle the ingredient. Remove the seeds for a milder taste. Chop the garlic, the chili pepper, the onion and the green onions. Cut the tomato into quarters. Slice the cucumbers. Cut the bok choy into pieces.
3. Cook the beef and the vegetables In a pan over medium-high heat, add a drizzle of olive oil. Cook the beef 4-5 minutes. Add the onions, the garlic and the bok choys. Cook for another 2-3 minutes. Push everything to one side of the pan to leave enough space to add the eggs. Add the eggs and cook for 1-2 minutes. Mix everything together.
4. Make the sauce In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, with the sambal oelek, to taste (caution! Spicy) and 1 tbsp of sugar. It's possible to reserve the sambal oelek for serving.
5. Assemble In the same pan as the beef, add the rice and the sauce. Mix well.
6. Plate your dish Serve the nasi goreng fried rice with beef. Garnish with cucumbers, the tomatoes, the green onions and the chili peppers, to taste (caution! spicy). Bon appétit!
