Szechwan Beef Noodles

with bell pepper and peanuts

1. Setup Very thinly slice the carrots into coins or into small cubes. Slice the pepper into strips. Chop the garlic and green onion. Coarsely chop the peanuts.
2. Cook the noodles Bring a pot of water to a boil. Cook the noodles 3-4 minutes. Drain and rinse.
3. Cook the beef Heat a drizzle of oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Cook the beef 4-5 minutes. Add salt and pepper.
4. Make the sauce While the beef is cooking, put the sauce mix in a saucepan with 0.5 2P | 0.5 3P broth cube, 2 2P | 3 3P tbsp. of sugar, 1-2 tbsp. of rice or cider vinegar and 1/2 2P | 3/4 3P cup water and bring to a boil. Dissolve the starch in 1 2P | 2 3P tbsp. of water and add it to the sauce. Stir 2-4 minutes until the sauce thickens a bit.
5. Add the vegetables Add the carrots, garlic, pepper and half of the green onion to the pan with the beef. Cook 4-5 minutes. Add the sauce and cook 2-4 minutes. Adjust seasoning to taste. To respect the food preferences of our children, taste the sauce before adding it to the dish. You can add it at the end of the service if it does not please everyone.
6. Plate your dish Serve the beef mixture on the noodles. Garnish with the rest of green onion and the peanuts. Serve each part of the meal family-style and let your children make their own plate. Bon appétit!
