On January 30th, the National Croissant Day is just around the corner. Indeed, there is a dedicated day for almost every food throughout the year, but when it comes to one of my absolute favorites, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to tell you all about it. In this article, I’ll share some of my favorite recipes from the Cook it Recipe Book to celebrate this delightful day dedicated to the croissant. As a bonus, I will also reveal my top picks in Montreal for finding the most delicious croissants in the city.

I am delighted to present to you some of my favorite recipes featuring the croissant that you can easily find in the Cook it Recipe Book:

Smoked Salmon Croissant with Ricotta, Egg, and Dill

It’s a delightful idea for a perfect brunch. This croissant offers a flavourful combination of smoked salmon, creamy ricotta, poached egg, and fresh dill. This burst of flavours will awaken your taste buds.

Almond Croissant with Sugar Fudge Sauce

These almond croissants were a massive hit during the holiday season. Their preparation is effortless, and the decadent sugar fudge sauce accompanies them perfectly. It’s a sweet option that will indeed please.

Croissant French Toast with Whipped Cream and Blueberry Sauce

It is a perfect recipe to use up surplus croissants, even if they are slightly aged. You can prepare the recipe the night before and bake it for a hassle-free breakfast. The marriage of the French toast croissant, creamy whipped cream, and blueberry sauce creates an exceptional taste experience. It’s a treat to start the day beautifully.
