Pork Poutine Meatloaf with demi-glace sauce, mashed potatoes and vegetables

This week’s menu kicks off with a bold fusion of two iconic Quebec dishes: meatloaf and poutine. Picture yourself savouring each bite of a succulent pork meatloaf, perfectly seasoned and infused with the unique flavours of poutine. The demi-glace sauce, generously topped with caramelized onions and sautéed mushrooms, adds to the indulgence. This comforting dish instantly evokes memories of childhood and shared family moments around delicious homemade meals. It’s the perfect opportunity to rediscover the authentic taste of traditional Quebec cuisine, reinvented with a touch of creativity and gourmet flair. Served with a delightful creamy mashed potato and crisp baby vegetables, this meatloaf poutine is a true feast for the whole family.

Maple and coconut Shrimp with lime rice and garlic bok choy

Dive into the vibrant flavours of spring with our Maple and Coconut Shrimp, served with lime rice and garlic bok choy. This colourful dish captures the essence of the season, offering a delicious fusion of flavours that will tantalize your taste buds. As maple season is in full swing, the combination of maple syrup with Asian-inspired flavours such as lime and coconut creates a symphony of taste sensations. Perfect for a cozy Friday night dinner for two, this recipe promises to transport you to culinary bliss with every bite. Let yourself be seduced by the sweetness of maple, the acidity of lime, and the tropical notes of coconut, all complemented by flavourful garlic bok choy. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply craving a delicious meal, this dish is sure to impress and satisfy.

Spanakopita Style egg Stromboli with spinach, feta, mozzarella and a cucumber olive salad.

Thanks to Cook it, I discovered Stromboli, a recipe as simple as it is delicious. All you need to do is spread the pizza dough and top it with your choice of ingredients before rolling it up, similar to a rolled pizza. In this version, we offer a variation inspired by Greek cuisine with eggs, spinach, feta cheese, and olives. An original recipe that is sure to surprise your taste buds and those of your guests. This preparation is also perfect for a gourmet brunch, adding a touch of originality and Mediterranean flavours to your table.

This week, I’m thrilled to present you my favourites from the ready-to-eat section, a discovery I made this year and can’t wait to share with you. I’m talking about the delicious prepared meals from Aux Vivres, a Montreal-based company specializing in vegan cuisine for over 20 years.

In my box this week, you’ll find two enticing choices: first, the Dragon Bowl, a flavourful creation made with Noble Bean tempeh, a delicious dragon sauce, green pea shoots, organic quinoa, lentils, rice, and fresh vegetables. This combination of flavours and wholesome ingredients promises a culinary experience that’s as nourishing as it is delightful. Additionally, for those seeking a nutritious and affordable lunch option, I present to you the brand-new breakfast wrap. This wrap features scrambled tofu, maple-smoked tempeh, and Cajun-spiced sweet potatoes, all wrapped up in a soft tortilla. It’s a balanced and deliciously satisfying breakfast available at a great price of only $6.50.
