As we leave the festive holiday spirit behind, it’s time to return to reality, along with the return of our daily routine and, for many of us, the challenge of resuming good habits. This can sometimes be more complicated than it seems. Fortunately, Cook it is here to support you in this transition and help you find a healthy and tasty dietary balance. Every week, we take pride in offering a variety of recipes suitable for all tastes and needs.

For me, this week is particularly busy as I am in the midst of moving. With all this hustle and bustle, my focus is on simple, easy-to-prepare, and above all, comforting recipes. Whether you want to maintain a balanced diet or enjoy delicious meals without hassle, our culinary propositions are designed to fit seamlessly into your busy lifestyle. Let Cook it lightens your daily load with delicious and easy-to-make dishes, ideally suited for your return to routine

Burger salad with lettuce, cherry tomatoes and pickles

Picture a colourful and appetizing bowl, generously topped with crisp lettuce, juicy cherry tomatoes, and pickles. Each bite is an explosion of flavours reminiscent of a classic burger’s delicious taste. This Beef Burger-style salad is not only tasty but also convenient. Easy to assemble in advance, it holds up well, allowing you to enjoy a quick and healthy lunch for the week. Feel free to customize your salad by adding your favourite ingredients to make it even more to your liking. Whether for a quick meal at the office or a dinner at home, this salad guarantees a flavorful and balanced meal.

Chicken linguine Alfredo with spinach, theme and lemon

This version of Linguini Alfredo is a must-try for all lovers of comforting cuisine. Adding spinach to this traditional dish brings a beautiful colour and a touch of freshness, perfectly complementing the richness of the creamy cheese sauce. The subtle thyme flavour harmoniously blends with the other ingredients, perfectly balancing herbs and creaminess. The lemon’s light acidity balances the sauce’s sweetness, adding a citrus note that awakens the palate. These ingredients transform a familiar dish into a new and exciting culinary experience. This recipe comforts while pleasantly surprising the senses, ideal for a family dinner or an evening with friends.

Indian style Halloumi poutine with spinach purée, pickled onion, cilantro and chilli pepper

This poutine stands out with its bold blend of Indian flavours and enticing textures. You’ll find halloumi cheese at the heart of this creation, known for its ability to withstand heat without melting, providing a crispy texture and a distinct salty flavour. It’s a perfect alternative to traditional cheese curds, adding a new dimension to the dish. The demi-glace sauce, infused with garam masala, is a true revelation. This blend of Indian spices brings warm and spicy notes, transforming the sauce into an actual flavour explosion. The soft and creamy spinach puree harmoniously complements the spicy character of the sauce, while the pickled onions add a tangy and refreshing touch. This Indian-style Halloumi Poutine is not just a meal; it’s a culinary experience that will delight lovers of intense flavours and original dishes. Perfect for evenings with friends or as a treat for oneself, it promises to become a new favourite at Cook it.

Amid a bustling week, I find myself inevitably drawn to the Ready-to-Eat section at Cook it to stock up on quick and delicious meals. Among my picks this week are the mini quiches from Carrément Tarte – they’re convenient and scrumptiously satisfying. Then, there’s the Umami Udon Curry, a vegan dish that’s both flavorful and comforting, perfect for a quick lunch break. And let’s not overlook the lunch. Initially designed for kids, I find these meals ideal for my midday appetite. I particularly enjoy their variety, striking a perfect balance between taste and simplicity. The version with hard-boiled eggs and mini pitas is one of my favourites. It combines ease, flavour, and convenience, making it an excellent choice for my busy days. At Cook it, the ready-to-eat options are a boon for anyone looking to save time without compromising meal quality and diversity.
