Cheeseburger Style Bao Buns

with pickle, lettuce, thousand island dressing and chips

1. Setup Thinly slice the lettuce and pickle. Chop the onion. Cut the slices of cheese in 4.
2. Cook the beef Heat a drizzle of oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Make 3 small patties of beef per person. Season with salt and pepper on both sides. Add to the hot skillet and cook 4-6 minutes on each side. Turn off the heat, add cheese to each patty, cover and let melt for 2-3 minutes.
3. Steam the buns Fill the bottom of a pot with water and bring to a boil. Place a colander with parchment paper over the pot of boiling water. Steam the Bao buns covered for 3-4 minutes or until hot and soft. The loaves should not touch the water.
4. Plate your dish Top the Bao buns with a beef patty, pickle slices, lettuce, onion and sauce. Serve with the chips. Bon appétit!
