1. SetupThinly slice the onion, tomato, pickle, radish and cucumber. Cut the halloumi into rectangles. Mix the mayonnaise with the spices to taste. Separate the lettuce leaves.
2. Pickle the onionIf desired, place the onion in a bowl. Add 1/3 cup of water, ¼ cup of vinegar, a pinch of salt and 1 tbsp. of sugar in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil. Pour over the onion and let marinate.
3. Grill the halloumiHeat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Cook the halloumi slices for about 2 minutes on each side until browned.
4. Plate your dishToast the bread slices in a toaster. Serve all the ingredients in the center of the table and let each person garnish their sandwich as they wish. Bon appétit!
