1. Cook the sweet potatoes Preheat oven to 425°F. Cut the sweet potatoes into cubes. Put on a lined sheet pan. Add a drizzle of oil, salt and pepper. Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes until colored.
2. Setup Chop the garlic and the oregano. Thinly slice the shallot. Thinly slice the tomato and one half of the cucumber. Grate the other half of the cucumber.
3. Marinate the shallot Put the shallot in a bowl with 1/4 cup of water, 1/4 cup of cider vinegar, 1 tbsp of sugar and a pinch of salt. Let marinate. Drain before serving.
4. Make the tzatziki Mix the yogourt with the garlic, oregano, grated cucumber, salt and pepper. The raw garlic and fresh oregano may not be liked by the kids, leave them aside for the service.
5. Cook the patties Mix the pork with the spices, salt and pepper. Make one patty per person. Heat a drizzle of oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Cook the patties 3-4 minutes on one side. Flip, cover and cook 5-7 minutes over medium-low heat or until cooked through.
6. Plate your dish Add the tzatziki, cucumber, tomato, shallot and patty to the buns. Serve with the sweet potatoes and the leftover tzatziki. Serve each part of the meal family-style and let your children make their own burger. Bon appétit!
